Laura Jacobus is a Strategic Advisor in the area of Integrated Risk Management at Mitratech. Laura brings deep hands-on experience in design and implementation of corporate compliance programs that genuinely resonate with company values and employee behavior.
Prior to Mitratech, Laura spent much of her career building, sustaining, and enriching both legal and business functions at high tech companies, including Cisco Systems and Juniper Networks. She has consulted in the area of ethics and compliance to many organizations.
Laura has co-authored a business ethics textbook, published by Wiley, and a set of law student/professor workbooks, published by the ABA.
She gives back to the community by teaching the new generation of leaders in undergraduate, graduate, and legal programs. Laura focuses in the areas of risk, international business, ethics, and compliance–with the goal of helping students take ownership of designing their own careers.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Santa Clara University, a Juris Doctor from SCU Law, and is licensed to practice law in California.
In her spare time, she is engaged in various forms of animal advocacy and working to end factory farming.
