On January 12, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program (OFCCP) released a new landing page on the new Affirmative Action Program (AAP) Focused Reviews. In lieu of compliance checks and to reinforce OFCCP’s commitment to Affirmative Action, the OFCCP is adding AAP focused reviews.

An affirmative action program (AAP) is designed to secure equal employment opportunity for female, minority, disabled, and veteran applicants and employees of a federal contractors’ workforce. Affirmative action under Executive Order 11246, Section 503, and VEVRAA works to increase diversity in the workforce through outreach, recruitment, and elimination of challenges in equal employment opportunity.

An AAP focused review will be more extensive than a compliance check including a full review of a contractor’s AAPs and support data under Executive Order 11246, Section 503, and VEVRAA. If the OFCCP finds widespread or serious violations, the focused review may turn into a full compliance evaluation.

The new AAP Landing Page includes:

  • Compliance Assistance Guides
  • Resources on Minority Education Initiatives
  • Frequently asked questions where you will find answers to what you can expect during an AAP focused review

A few of the links are still coming soon including an on-site review guide, scheduling letter and FAQs.

New call-to-action
