Mitratech’s AdvanceLaw Kicks Off Its 2022 Diversity Mentorship Program

The program focuses on providing diverse law firm associates with career coaching and support.

AUSTIN, TX – February 22, 2022 – Mitratech is pleased to announce that AdvanceLaw, a unique law firm panel management collaboration with 300 leading general counsel, has kicked off its 2022 Diversity Mentorship Program. The AdvanceLaw Diversity Mentorship Program was inspired by and developed in collaboration with industry-leading general counsel (GCs) and law firms. 

The program pairs diverse law firm associates with GCs for career coaching, support, building relationships, collaborating on diversity, and supporting potential business opportunities.  AdvanceLaw has matched over 80 mentoring pairs since 2019, helping law firms develop a strong cohort of diverse lawyers with an enriched legal industry network and insights from top in-house lawyers. The program carries out quarterly surveys with all participants to better understand the impact of the program.

Mentors come from companies including Clorox, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Honeywell, Rockwell Automation, LifeTime Fitness, American Greetings, Peabody, PVH, Rack Room, MSA Safety, and more.

According to a recent survey conducted by Bloomberg Law, nine out of 10 top leaders (either CEO or managing partner) at law firms are white and 81% of top leaders are male.
