Rubrik Wins Corporate Counsel’s “Best Use of Technology” Award for Legal Front Door Workflow Innovation with TAP

The industry-leading data-management company was recognized at the American Lawyer Industry Awards Ceremony for demonstrating innovation in transforming the legal intake process with Mitratech’s no-code workflow automation solution.

Rubrik’s legal department knew it needed better visibility into contract-related requests early in 2021 when its eight-lawyer legal team was supporting over 500 sales representatives cross-departmentally. It took the data-management company 28 days to go live with the legal request portal in TAP that now contains 10 workflows for its most common request types, showcasing the knack for innovation that earned its recognition for strategic technology use.

Operating as a self-service resource hub or FAQ center for users to resolve common requests, Rubrik’s TAP request portal completely resolved 68 admin requests within 60 days of go-live. Rubrik estimates that manually fielding those requests used to take a team member about 5 minutes each, so the company saved roughly 6 hours of admin work in the first two months alone.

On top of reducing legal request volume, the Rubrik team has leveraged TAP to drive more data-enabled decisions, like accessing regional data to better understand customer preferences and tracking project assignments to balance workloads.. And because of TAP’s open API and plug-ins with Okta, DocuSign, Salesforce, and other Rubrik systems, this is only the start for the company when it comes to maximizing operational efficiency with automation.
