We Stand With The Immigration Community
It is truly heartwarming to see immigration professionals and non-profits in the US, Europe, and Canada coming together and supporting a wide range of initiatives to help Ukrainian citizens fleeing the war in their homeland.
This amazing community is collaborating (at a rapid pace) to offer free legal advice to individuals, and help them navigate the complexity of the immigration processes and requirements.
On March 3rd, 2022 the U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced the designation of Ukraine for Temporary Protection Status (TPS) for an initial period of 18 months, based on the ongoing armed conflict and the extraordinary conditions in Ukraine that will prevent its nationals from returning safely.
In this time of crisis, companies are also generously donating their time and expertise. Mitratech will be joining this community of immigration professionals by extending a select number of INSZoom user licenses to 10 of the top U.S. nonprofits, who we know are on the front lines of processing Temporary Protection Status, and other petitions, for eligible Ukrainian nationals.
We can’t imagine what these families are going through and we are pleased to be joining the immigration community in helping to alleviate the burden on them,
said Mike Williams, CEO of Mitratech.
The TPS process can feel burdensome in an already emotionally-charged situation, so if we can help make this less stressful for these families, that’s the goal. Our hearts continue to go out to everyone impacted.
It is our sincere hope that leveraging INSZoom – a cloud based, secure and immigration-specific case management system, will provide a small sense of ease through faster processing of TPS cases for Ukrainians, and allow immigration professionals to focus on spending more 1:1 time with clients in this overwhelming and frightening time.
